Ludicrous Tyreek Hill fumble return TD makes NFL Twitter go wild: Best memes and tweets

Tyreek Hill has been electric with the Dolphins but nothing has come close to the wild fumble return TD he scored on Sunday Night Football against LA.

No one is going to argue that Tyreek Hill has been everything and more that the Miami Dolphins hoped for when they traded for the star wide receiver this offseason. The former Chiefs receiver entered Week 14 leading the NFL in both receptions and receiving yards, having accrued 1,379 through 12 games.

And despite all the big-time plays and catches he’s made for the teal-tinted aquatic mammals this season, no one could’ve been ready for the trick he and the Dolphins pulled out of their bags on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Trailing 10-0 in the second quarter, Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed up the middle fighting for a first down when he got the ball punched out. There was then a sort of rugby scrum for the ball when left tackle Terron Armstead (perhaps even intentionally) caused the ball to squirt out of the pile. Hill then came running around to scoop it up, run around the pile, and then hit fifth-gear with nothing but daylight ahead for the wild 57-yard fumble return touchdown.

Insane Tyreek Hill fumble return TD sends NFL Twitter into whirlwind of memes and reactions

That’s truly a play that I and many others have never seen before. And the reactions to it from NFL Twitter proved as much.

Unfortunately for fantasy football managers, the yardage on that doesn’t actually matter. It goes down simply as a fumble recovery touchdown, which is six points and no yardage tacked onto it.

Even still, getting to see that play on Sunday night might be worth the lost fantasy points. It’s almost a guarantee that you won’t see something like this Tyreek Hill touchdown for a long, long time — if we ever do see it again.
