Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson was reportedly arrested on Monday over a “non-violent family issue.”
On Monday, former New England Patriots and current Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson was reportedly booked at Bristol County Jail and House of Correction in North Dartmouth, Mass. The reasoning for the booking is due to a “non-violent family issue,” a spokesperson for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office told Boston 25 News.
Jackson was brought in by Fall River police after an appearance in probate court, per Boston 25 News.
The Chargers released a statement, via Daniel Popper of The Athletic, saying they will “continue to gather information on this matter and will refrain from further comment at this time.”

No further details have been revealed besides his booking, as of this writing.
Jackson spent his first four seasons with the Patriots after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland in 2018. In 2021, Jackson led the league with 23 passes defensed, while logging 58 combined tackles and eight interceptions. Those numbers resulted in him being named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
The Chargers signed Jackson this past offseason to a five-year, $82.5 million contract. Jackson played in just five games this year and suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks, effectively ending his season.
Jackson recorded 15 combined tackles and two defended passes in his five games played.
