Week 17 is here, which means fantasy football championships! Whether you’re in the big game or in the consolation bracket, here are this week’s RB sleepers.

It’s the last week of fantasy football for most leagues, yet sleeper picks and starts are still as important as they were earlier in the year. Whether you’re in the Super Bowl, playing for consolation, or doing DFS lineups — take a look at these guys if you’re in need of a sleeper pick.

Running back sleepers for fantasy football Week 17

10. Chase Edmonds, Denver Broncos

Nobody on the Denver Broncos aside from Jerry Jeudy is a super inspiring play for fantasy football, but somebody has to carry the ball here. Latavius Murray was seemingly phased out of a blowout at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams, and it was Chase Edmonds who filled in mostly in the second half.

There could be another blowout on the horizon for Denver in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs, which could mean more Edmonds due to his skill set in the passing game. Edmonds turned eight touches into 53 yards last week, and he may be in line to do something similar this week and is a deep sleeper in PPR leagues.

9. James Cook, Buffalo Bills

James Cook’s usage for the Buffalo Bills has been quite inconsistent. His carry numbers over the last six weeks have looked like this: 11, 2, 14, 4, 5, 11. So there’s really no telling how involved he’ll be in Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

What we do know is that Cook has shown exciting upside when given the opportunity for the Bills. In fact, his Week 13 performance against one of the best run defenses in the NFL in the New England Patriots saw him finish as fantasy’s RB15 for the week. If Cook gets the opportunity, he’ll produce. And he may be needed in a crucial AFC showdown.
