Packers stars troll Vikings hard after Minnesota’s playoff loss

The Minnesota Vikings suffered a brutal loss to the New York Giants in the Wild Card Round, and they were trolled by Green Bay Packers stars.

The Minnesota Vikings fanbase had to be feeling good after the team won the NFC North title for the first time since 2017, and the Green Bay Packers missed out on the playoffs after losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 18. They had the chance to potentially make a deep playoff run, despite their consistency issues throughout the season. All they needed to do was to get past the New York Giants in the Wild Card Round.

Well, that proved to be too tough of a challenge for the Vikings, as they lost 31-24 to be shown the exit after just one game played. Down 31-24, Minnesota had the chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but their luck ran out on fourth-and-8 with a little over two minutes remaining. With no timeouts remaining, quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a three-yard pass to tight end T.J. Hockenson, who was stopped five yards short by Giants safety Xavier McKinney to end any chance of winning the game.

Not only were Packers fans taking joy in watching their hated rivals lose, but so were some of the big stars on the team, such as offensive tackle David Bakhtiari and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell.

Bakhtiari tweeting out “love to see it.” Special teams ace Keisean Nixon sending out a video of Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander doing the Griddy over Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson in Week 17.Cornerback Rasul Douglas saying “he just threw a two-yard pass on fourth-and-eight.” Yup, the Packers stars were watching the Vikings playoff performance.

While the final play by Cousins and the Vikings offense was attributed to the loss, so was the performance of their defense.

Minnesota’s defense, coached by Ed Donatell, surrendered 431 yards of offense on 68 plays (6.9 yards per play). Not to mention they had no answers for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, who completed 24-of-35 pass attempts for 301 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 78 yards on 17 carries. While Saquon Barkley received just nine carries in the game, he did run for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings will now be watching the playoffs from home, alongside the Packers, who were enjoying watching their rivals lose in the opening round.
