NFL Playoffs, Philadelphia Eagles

Who do Eagles play next in NFL playoffs after beating Giants?

The Philadelphia Eagles pasted the Giants but who do they play next in the NFL Playoffs after punching their ticket to the NFC Championship Game?

Anyone who thought that the Philadelphia Eagles could end up in trouble on Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field against the rival New York Giants experienced the rudest of awakenings in primetime. Jalen Hurts, even at less than 100%, came out and made a big statement with an opening touchdown drive and Philly never looked back.

The Eagles looked every bit the part of the No. 1 seed in the NFC as they scored 28 unanswered points in the first half to take that lead into halftime. From there, the team really put it in cruise control as they largely shut down the Giants and then tried to burn as much clock as possible when they had the ball.

When the final whistle was blown, the Eagles had earned their NFC Championship Game berth with a 38-7 victory. Now it’s all about what’s next and which team stands in the way of Philadelphia and a trip to Super Bowl 57.

Who do Eagles play next in playoffs? Philadelphia hosting NFC Championship Game

What we know for sure right now is that Philadelphia will be hosting the NFC Championship Game with a Super Bowl berth on the line. What we won’t know until Sunday night is which team will be traveling to a raucous stadium to face the Birds on Sunday, Jan. 29.

On Sunday night in the Divisional Round, the No. 2 seed San Francisco 49ers will host the Dallas Cowboys, the No. 5 seed in the NFC. The winner of that game is who the Eagles will play next in the playoffs.

Both teams are going to be tough matchups for Philadelphia as both the 49ers and Cowboys looked quite formidable in their Wild Card Round wins. At the same time, though, Nick Sirianni’s team appeared quite up for the playoff challenge against the Giants.

If we’re being selfish, though, an Eagles-Cowboys rivalry clash in Philly with the NFC Championship on the line would be unbelievable. So it’s hard not to root for that being the case when it’s all said and done.
