The Super Bowl is the most bet on event year after year, and people are not afraid to try and cash in big on the big game.
Take this one bettor, for example, who bet $8 on the Philadelphia Eagles to score exactly four points — two safeties — at 1000-1 odds, which would net the bettor $80,000 dollars.
With the expanded prop betting menu for the Super Bowl, you can also see sports bettors pounce on very unlikely outcomes at expensive odds in hopes of making a (hopefully) sweat-free profit. Another bettor wagered $35,000 to win $2,500 on there to be no punt or kick return for a touchdown.
For what it’s worth, neither the Eagles or Chiefs have a kick or punt return for a touchdown this season.
