There might come a day when NFL players are meant for something even greater than playing football — fighting off a zombie apocalypse.
Everyone has that one friend who is way too obsessed with something, whether it’s the NFL, anime, the latest conspiracy theory, politics, or preparing for an impending zombie apocalypse.
Here at FanSided, we love the NFL. But, we also love having fun, and that means fusing two polar opposite topics together into one gigantic, hypothetical scenario which would cause us to think a bit differently about the players we watch every Sunday.
Let’s say there was, in fact, a zombie apocalypse at one point. Some people have guns. Others have smart homes with armor and the latest, high-tech security systems.
But, us? We’re going to have a team of NFL players to help fight off those blood-thirsty mongrels.
Which players would you pick to help you survive a zombie apocalypse? It it was me, I’ve got these 20 guys, hands down.
NFL players to help you survive the zombie apocalypse: Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns
We’re going to start out with brute strength, here, with the first two. Obviously, strength isn’t everything when trying to not just sustain, but overcome a zombie apocalypse. But, it also doesn’t hurt. Remember when Nick Chubb did this?
Yeah, I don’t care what the activity is. If it has to do with any type of survival, I want that guy on my team.
NFL players to help you survive the zombie apocalypse: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Fresh off taking over the title as the highest-paid player in NFL history, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts could probably afford to stock up for whatever future crisis the world may face. As silly as that sounds, it’s true.
But, realistically, Hurts’ strength is what I’m gunning for, here. Like Chubb, the man can squat darn near the weight of a house. Forget guns or fistfight techniques, Hurts and Chubb will literally kick the snot out of anyone attempting to take his life.
