The NFL rumors are coming in hot with the 2023 NFL Draft here with a look at the Steelers and Pickett, a WR wanting the Chiefs and late Will Levis updates.

The 2023 NFL Draft is just a day away at this point and silly season is all the way upon us when it comes to the sheer volume of NFL rumors floating around right now.

As has been the case throughout the draft process, quarterbacks remain the dominant narrative. For Will Levis, that has meant a rollercoaster of information (or smokescreens) about where he could end up. For a team like the Steelers, it’s a chance to evaluate whether taking Kenny Pickett in the first round a year ago was the right move as opposed to waiting. For others, it’s a crippling look into the unknown of what will happen the night of April 27.

With the draft upon us, though, let’s take a look at some of the biggest NFL rumors out there and see what we can glean from the information that’s out there, true or not.

NFL Rumors: Latest Will Levis updates on Reddit tip, Texans and more

To say it’s been a strange draft process for Kentucky quarterback Will Levis would be understating it. Throughout the process, there have been NFL rumors ranging from that he could go No. 1 overall to that teams might barely view him as a first-round pick. And somehow, it’s only gotten weirder the week of the draft.

That started on Tuesday of draft week when a Reddit post from a user claiming to know Levis said that the quarterback was telling friends and family that the Panthers were taking him with the first overall pick. This post moved his odds from 40/1 to 4/1 to be the top selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

As for what Levis had to say on the matter, he addressed it coyly on Wednesday by saying not to believe everything you read on the internet.

So, at the very least, it doesn’t seem like Will Levis will be the next quarterback in Carolina. But where will he go? That’s an entirely different matter.

Houston Texans insider John McClain reported on Wednesday that, despite rumors that the team would use the No. 2 overall pick on a non-quarterback, Houston would be taking Levis after Bryce Young is the Panthers’ pick at No. 1.

But if you choose to not believe McClain and buy into the buzz that the Texans have a plan outside of QB for the second overall selection, then Levis to the Colts at No. 4 is also a possibility. Not only have there been rumblings that the team likes him, but ESPN draft expert Matt Miller reported on Wednesday that the Manning family gave Indianapolis the green light on Levis.

The Manning green light, of course, is not a sure thing as Peyton has endorsed the likes of Adam Gase and Daniel Jones.

In the case of Will Levis, though, he’s among the biggest question marks in this draft and, frankly, all of the rumors around him leading up to Thursday night in Kansas City are only creating more confusion as opposed to providing more clarity.
