Carlos Dunlap is putting himself on the trade block after Bengals loss

The Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman essentially put himself on the trade block by placing his house on the market

The Cincinnati Bengals are a team building towards the future, but one player isn’t exactly buying in. Of course, we’re talking about defensive end Carlos Dunlap. The 31-year-old defensive lineman has expressed his displeasure with his current role on the team, which has resulted in a reduction in snaps. With the NFL Trade Deadline a little over a week away (Nov. 3), Dunlap went to new lengths to express his desire to be traded.

Following Cincinnati’s heartbreaking 37-34 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Dunlap sent out a tweet, where he announced that his residence is officially on the market. If that’s not a sign of someone who wants off of his team ASAP, we don’t know what is.

Dunlap was visibly frustrated on the sidelines on Sunday

Dunlap created quite the stir near the tail end of the game. After Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield threw a game-winning touchdown to rookie receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, Dunlap was shown on the sidelines arguing with a coach. His actions and tweet didn’t go unnoticed.

Following the game, Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said that he didn’t agree with Dunlap’s choice to go after a member of the coaching staff. In fact, Boyd replied to his Instagram post with some explicit language, which all but indicates that he’s grown tired of Dunlap’s actions.

The drama didn’t just occur on Sunday afternoon, but it took place the day prior. Dunlap actually posted a photo of the team depth chart where he was listed as the third string option, saying that he doesn’t have time for that.

Entering Sunday, Dunlap had 18 total tackles, three quarterback hits, two passes defended and one sack through six games (four starts).

To no shock, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier on Sunday that the Bengals are indeed shopping Dunlap to other teams, so he might get his wish shortly. Dunlap may have very well expedited the trade process on Sunday evening. Now it’s a matter of which team will be interested in his services.
