Corey Davis visibly upset on sidelines after losing brother to cancer

This one is for Titus, Corey

Losing a loved one is never easy for anyone. Losing someone and then playing a football game hours later certainly is tougher. That’s the case for Tennessee Titans receiver Corey Davis on Thursday night.

During the middle of the second quarter, the camera peered over to Davis crying on the sideline. Then, FOX commentator Joe Buck told fans that Davis’ older brother, Titus, had passed away from cancer Wednesday. Clearly emotional, Davis could not help but hold back the tears as the clock ticked away towards the start of kickoff.

A resurgence for Davis in the second half

Drafted fifth overall, Davis was expected to the next big thing at wide receiver after joining the team in 2017. Since his arrival in the Music City, his career has hit some high notes, but most remained mild overall. The 2020 season has proven to be his best yet as Davis has tallied 29
receptions for 369 yards and three scores.

No matter who you are fan of, everyone will be rooting for Davis tonight. Here’s to hoping Davis finds the end zone for Titus to close out the night on a positive note.
