The Cleveland Browns can’t catch a break, as high winds and thundershowers has resulted in a delay of their showdown with the Houston Texans
For everyone in Cleveland hoping to see Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense get off to a fast start against the Houston Texans and their terrible secondary, mother nature had other ideas. On Sunday, the Browns-Texans showdown has officially been delayed due to high winds and thundershowers in the area.
Winds have been reaching extreme levels at the stadium, which is sure to have a negative impact for both Mayfield and Deshaun Watson in trying to throw the ball.
The Browns-Texans game being delayed due to weather is the last thing this team needs
For Cleveland, they just can’t catch a break, as the hope was that Mayfield and the offense would be able to get going early on against Houston. With the high winds and thunderstorms, though, that’s just not going to be the case… for now.
Cleveland enters Sunday with a 5-2 record, while the Texans are an abysmal 2-6. Houston already fired head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien earlier this year after the team started the year 0-4. Reports have stated the organization is thinking about bring back Romeo Crennel next season as head coach, which we don’t have to tell you would be a mistake.
Both teams are hungry for a win on Sunday, but the weather sure is going to make things difficult for either side to move the ball with efficiency. Seriously, it looks simply terrible in Cleveland right now:
Whenever these two teams are able to take the field, fans might have to expect a sloppy one if the conditions don’t improve drastically. It could turn out to be a long day for both the Browns and Texans.
