Kyler Murray took to Twitter after his miraculous game-winning touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins.
The Arizona Cardinals absolutely robbed the Houston Texans in the trade that brought DeAndre Hopkins out west. Kyler Murray was immediately given an elite receiver and the bond between the two was clear from the start.
Sunday provided Cardinals fans with one of the most exciting memories in recent team history. Murray sent a Hail Mary pass into the end zone as the fourth quarter clock neared zero and Hopkins miraculously went up over several Buffalo Bills defenders and came down with the ball. The party was on in Glendale and Murray took to Twitter right after the game to hype up his elite receiver.
The Murray to Hopkins connection is real
The pass from Murray was an absolute dime, but it takes a special receiver to go up in the midst of several defenders and come down with the ball. One can call it a failure by the Bills defense, however, this was all because of the greatness of Hopkins.
The Cardinals finished last season with a record of 5-10-1 and have already improved in 2020 after getting off to a 6-3 start. The addition of Hopkins has totally changed the offense and all it took was sending running back David Johnson to Houston. That move left Deshaun Watson without any weapons and also caused Bill O’Brien to lose his job.
Hopkins makes his quarterbacks look better and Murray has countless reasons to be excited and not only because his team came out victorious. That does always help too.
“Hop” is the perfect name for the great Hopkins and he did just that to bring home a victory against a tough Buffalo team. His former teammates managed to score seven points Sunday and may be wondering why it was a wise move to trade away such a top talent.
