If you’re in need of a running back to provide some support for your fantasy football lineup, check out adding one of these running back sleepers.
Notable hits for sleepers last week in this analysis included J.D. McKissic, Kalen Ballage, Chase Edmonds, and Salvon Ahmed.
It was an average week for our RB sleeper picks. Overall, these four players were not heavily sought after in 2020 fantasy drafts, but they did produce a profitable Week 10 output.
So, let’s find out who could surprise the masses during Week 11.
Note: The selection of these 10 sleepers is assessed from a 10-team, PPR league perspective.
1. Mike Davis (CAR)
Game: Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers (Sunday, 11/22, 1:00 pm EST)
Another week of fantasy football with no Christian McCaffrey. Exhale.
There was a stretch of football in October that Mike Davis was a no-brainer RB2 for your fantasy lineups. He has since returned to earth while the Panthers have flirted with McCaffrey returning to the lineup. McCaffrey is out yet again with an undetermined timetable for return. Heck, Carolina could even be without starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
One this is for certain — the Lions are terrible against the run. Detroit allows 28 (!!) PPR points to running backs per game. For the love of God, start Davis this week.
2. Giovanni Bernard (CIN)
Game: Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football Team (Sunday, 11/22, 1:00 pm EST)
The guy with the cool roster picture will likely represent the Bengals as RB1 in Week 11. Much like McCaffrey, Mixon remains banged up. Bernard is not a powerhouse running back, but he is a serviceable RB1 when called upon.
When the Cincinnati-Washington game shakes down this weekend, it will be a tryst of two teams probably not heading to the postseason. Although that isn’t very exciting, the two teams will look to establish the run.
Joe Burrow needs to stop throwing the football all the time, so perhaps Bernard gets a piece of the workload. Go with Bernard if your RB options are limited.
