Carlos Dunlap had an interesting comparison for Kyler Murray following Thursday night’s showdown between the Seahawks and Cardinals.
Carlos Dunlap has found new life after being traded to the Seattle Seahawks. He picked up two sacks for the Seattle Seahawks against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday and his second was a game-winner.
He took Kyler Murray to the turf on a fourth down and the game was won. Murray is a rather shifty player and Dunlap provided a unique description of trying to chase the young quarterback.
Dunlap calls Murray a squirrel
This is a fair comparison if you consider Murray’s ability to seemingly escape any pressure. Unfortunately for him, he may have let his guard down for a split second and Dunlap took advantage to seal the Seahawks victory.
Dunlap appears to be thrilled after being traded out of Cincinnati after a decade with the Bengals. He instantly went from a rebuilding team to a Super Bowl contender and may end up being an X-factor for Seattle as the season progresses.
Murray had himself a nice game two, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 15 rushing yards on five scrambles and only took three sacks in the game. Russell Wilson took three as well.
The Cardinals quarterback has an unconventional style and his ability to escape pressure makes him a dynamic player. But some NFL defenders are just as fast and players such as Dunlap are hard to escape when the pressure is on.
Does Murray remind you of a squirrel? Is this a new way to describe running quarterbacks? Dunlap’s quote sure was a fun one and ends up being a compliment in a weird way.
