Derek Carr and his Las Vegas Raiders lost on Sunday night, but he’s clearly established himself as one of the game’s best in 2020.
In the 2020 FanSided NFL quarterback rankings — which go live here every Tuesday morning throughout the regular season — we use a weighted average of current and past performances, with the former meaning more than the latter.
Let’s party…
32
Jake Luton
QB Jacksonville Jaguars
2020 stats: 624 yards | 54.5 completion % | 2 TDs | 6 INTs | 5.7 YPA | 42.6 QBR
Last Week: 30
Four interceptions? Yeah, it’s time to get Gardner Minshew back in here pronto, unless the Jaguars are openly aiming to go 1-15.
31
P.J. Walker
QB Carolina Panthers
2020 stats: 273 yards | 64.3 completion % | 1 TDs | 2 INTs | 6.5 YPA | 22.8 QBR
Last Week: NA
The short-lived XFL star replaced an injured Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday and won, despite having an ugly performance. There were a few flashes, but not much else.
30
Ryan Finley
QB Cincinnati Bengals
2020 stats: 30 yards | 30.0 completion % | 0 TDs | 1 INTs | 3.0 YPA | 21.8 QBR
Last Week: NA
This is awful. Joe Burrow is out for the season with a torn ACL, and now we’re stuck watching Ryan Finley lose every game the rest of the year.
29
Joe Flacco
QB New York Jets
2020 stats: 864 yards | 55.2 completion % | 6 TDs | 3 INTs | 6.4 YPA | 56.4 QBR
Last Week: 32
If you happened to catch Flacco’s pick-six on Sunday, it was truly one for the ages. Just a mind-numbing decision.
28
Carson Wentz
QB Philadelphia Eagles
2020 stats: 2,326 yards | 58.4 completion % | 14 TDs | 14 INTs | 6.2 YPA | 48.1 QBR
Last Week: 25
Wentz is broken. The confidence is gone, the decision-making process is toast, the ability to make a play all but evaporated. A pick-six, fumble, safety and so many poor throws. Bring in Jalen Hurts.
27
Drew Lock
QB Denver Broncos
2020 stats: 1,767 yards | 55.6 completion % | 7 TDs | 11 INTs | 6.6 YPA | 40.2 QBR
Last Week: 29
Lock threw a horrific interception to open up on Sunday, but was soli afterwards. The problem with Lock, as evidenced in the stats, are he makes far too many mistakes. The game is too fast for him.
26
Nick Mullens
QB San Francisco 49ers
2020 stats: 1,390 yards | 67.3 completion % | 6 TDs | 6 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 42.0 QBR
Last Week: 28
Mullens comes off the bye week to face the Rams, who have arguably the best defense in football. Tall order for someone who is a middling backup quarterback.
25
Andy Dalton
QB Dallas Cowboys
2020 stats: 655 yards | 63.2 completion % | 4 TDs | 4 INTs | 5.6 YPA | 38.1 QBR
Last Week: NA
Dalton was nothing special in Minnesota, but did enough for a 31-28 win. He barely averaged 6.0 yards per attempt and threw a pick, but he kept Dallas on schedule. All you can really ask for.
