After beating the Denver Broncos on Sunday night, Travis Kelce accidentally gave credit to the Oakland Raiders.
In what turned out to be one heck of a ball game, the Kansas City Chiefs were able to avoid and upset and took down the Denver Broncos 22-16 at Arrowhead Stadium during Sunday Night Football.
Inexplicably, the Chiefs had issues scoring touchdowns while in the red zone, but they did just enough to come away with the big AFC West victory. After the showdown, though, star tight end Travis Kelce made headlines for what he had to say, but it’s sure to fire up Raiders fans and build their confidence. That’s because Las Vegas is clearly on Kelce’s mind.
Travis Kelce showing love to the Raiders by mistake is not a good thing for Kansas City
While it was an honest slip-up by Kelce, Raiders fans wasted no time letting him know about his error all over social media. Folks claimed Las Vegas is living ‘rent-free’ in Kelce’s head and it’s hard to blame them for having that reaction.
Las Vegas and Kansas City are 1-1 on the season, with both games being heart-stopping showdowns. Las Vegas stunned Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium, while the Chiefs returned the favor and took down the Raiders on their home turf. Should the two sides meet again in the postseason, it’d be sure to be an intriguing battle.
Offensively for the Chiefs, they didn’t quite look like themselves at times on Sunday against Denver, but Mahomes still managed to throw for more than 300 yards and a touchdown to Kelce. While Kelce might have the Raiders on his mind, he’ll need to flush them out as soon as possible so he can start focusing on the 8-4 Miami Dolphins in Week 14. If the Chiefs aren’t careful, Tua Tagovailoa and Miami could be ready for an upset of their own.
