Tennessee Titans fans are losing their minds on Mike Vrabel for questionable calls in the heartbreaking loss to the Ravens.
Despite being the higher seed and being the favorites to come out on top in the Wild Card Round, the Tennessee Titans just saw their season come to a close with a heartbreaking 20-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in Nashville.
While Ryan Tannehill’s late interception was backbreaking and all but sealed the Baltimore win thanks to Marcus Peters, Titans fans were disgusted long before, with their anger directed at head coach Mike Vrabel.
Yes, we’re talking about the absurd call in the fourth quarter when Vrabel decided to punt the ball on 4th and 2 from Baltimore’s 40-yard line. Why did he do that?
Titans fans are blasting Mike Vrabel for punting late from the Raven’s 40
Indeed, Tennessee was down 17-13 with 10:06 left in the game at the time. At the Baltimore 40-yard line, Vrabel punted the ball on 4th and 2, much to the dismay of countless folks out there. If you’re looking up Vrabel’s name on Twitter, you’ll find people hating on him left and right. It’s a storm out there.
If you look up “Vrabel” and “coward” on Twitter, you’ll also see loads of posts as well. Keep in mind too that the Titans have Derrick Henry. Why not feed your beast or take a shot with a play-action call?
Obviously, we can all clown on Vrabel now that the game is over and Tennessee will watch the rest of postseason from home.
At the time of the punt, however, everyone and their mother was screaming at Vrabel to re-think his decision. It’s now too late and he’ll be the butt of jokes throughout the offseason. Sorry, Titans fans, but your head coach really let you down today.
