Aaron Rodgers will be a guest host on an episode of Jeopardy!
Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, will be the leading man for a different thing this year but it will hold just as much importance. Rodgers announced on Tuesday he’d be a guest-host for the hit trivia show Jeopardy!
“One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show (h/t CNN). “They’re doing some guest-hosting spots. It’s going to be released here pretty soon, but I had the opportunity to do one of those … I’m excited about that opportunity.”
Alex Trebek died in November, the show is using guest hosts
The ABC show has begun airing the first episodes following the death of the beloved longtime host, Alex Trebek. He died of pancreatic cancer on Nov. 9, 2020.
Rodgers hasn’t said when his episode will air or if it will be a one-time spot or a week-long spot like former contestant Ken Jennings got.
This won’t be the first time he’ll appear on the show, he was a celebrity contestant in 2015 but this will be the first time for Rodgers on the other end of the podium.
