Cleveland Browns fans are furious after a helmet-to-helmet call was called in favor of the Packers and wideout Davante Adams.
It’s been a week, and the Cleveland Browns faithful are still angered by the missed helmet-to-helmet call in the Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs. Remember when Dan Sorensen launched himself helmet-first at Rashard Higgins? Sure you do.
Higgins ended up fumbling the ball into the end zone for a Kansas City touchback. Well, in the NFC Championship Game, the refs didn’t waste any time throwing a flag on the Bucs for a rough hit on Davante Adams. As you might imagine, Browns fans reacted on Twitter and they’re not happy whatsoever.
Browns supporters are all over Twitter letting the refs in NFC title game have it
Can you blame Browns fans for feeling this way? That hit by Sorensen was clearly a foul, but the non-call made a huge difference in the 22-17 loss to the Chiefs. Now, people are continuing to let their emotions come out.
Let us know how you really feel, folks. We’ve seen some terrible missed calls in the postseason this year, which of course includes the Sorensen hit on Higgins. In the NFC title game, the refs totally blew it on an Aaron Rodgers interception, where Allen Lazard was clearly held.
It’s been rough to see how inconsistent the zebras have been, and you better believe everyone in Cleveland won’t forgive them for their mistakes soon. The Browns were only a couple of plays away from upsetting Kansas City last week and earning a spot in the AFC Championship Game against the Bills. Now, they’ll be forced to watch things from home on Sunday night.
