Rob Gronkowski had his priorities in order when he interrupted Buccaneers teammate Mike Evans with a simple message: It’s time to turn up.
When you win a Super Bowl, celebrating is a given.
When you win a Super Bowl with Rob Gronkowski as a teammate, celebrating means “turning up.”
While Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was giving a post-game interview to NFL Network, Gronkowski crashed the party.
Though he stayed out of the frame the entire time, Gronk’s voice was clearly heard urging Evans to hurry up and get to the party.
Rob Gronkowski will be known for winning Super Bowls and partying
You’ve got to hand it to Gronk; his thirst for life is unmatched. The tight end has managed to pair an incredible amount of success (including four Super Bowl wins) with an incredible amount of partying (just think about the celebrations after those four Super Bowl wins!).
Being buddies with Tom Brady certainly has something to do with it, but Gronk is no slouch. He had 623 yards and seven touchdowns in his return to the game after retirement. He led Tampa Bay with six catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns in Super Bowl LV. He’s earned every second of shirtless dancing he’s undoubtedly done since the final whistle.
Evans was limited to one catch for 31 yards on Super Bowl Sunday. His contributions to the title run would never be questioned, even with the quiet night in the big game. He tallied 70 catches for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns in the regular season before adding 11 catches for 204 yards and two scores in the playoffs.
He’s now got a Super Bowl title to go along with three Pro Bowl nods and seven-straight seasons with more than 1,000 yards receiving. He should be able to handle a night or two out with Gronk.
