With the Philadelphia Eagles potentially looking to trade Zach Ertz, two teams have emerged as potential landing spots.
Where will Zach Ertz end up playing next season? While all eyes are on Carson Wentz to see if he ends up getting traded, Ertz could end up leaving Philadelphia at some point this offseason as well.
Per a report, several teams are interested in trading for the standout tight end, with both the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts emerging as serious contenders to make a move for him. Will Ertz end up in Seattle or Indianapolis?
Zach Ertz could very well end up being traded this offseason
Both teams would be interesting landing spots for Ertz. With the Colts, they feature plenty of young talent on the offensive side of the ball. With Philip Rivers retiring, though, it’s up in the air who he’d be catching balls from should the Colts acquire him.
As for Seattle, Greg Olsen just announced his retirement. The Seahawks could sure use a new tight end with plenty of experience. Enter Ertz? This would also make Russell Wilson happy, as he’d have another option to throw to. Adding Ertz could really shape up things offensively too.
Ertz has had to deal with injuries in recent years, but when healthy, there’s no denying he’s one of the best tight ends in the NFC. In 11 games last year, Ertz’s production was a bit down, as he was held to 36 receptions for 335 yards and only one touchdown. The one score was the lowest output of Ertz’s career.
The general feeling is that Ertz could be traded in the coming months. Should that happen, one team will be getting quite the player added to the roster. Will it be Seattle or Indianapolis? We’ll find out soon enough.
