It’s rebuild time for a club that’s struggled badly the past three years.
It’s been nothing short of disastrous for a franchise that won a division title with a 10-6 record in 2017 and reach the AFC title game. Over the past three seasons, the Jacksonville Jaguars own a combined 12-36 record and have finished last in the AFC South each year.
The housecleaning over recent months have included the front office and the head coach. Now college legend Urban Meyer takes over as the organization looks to get back on track. The highly-regarded head coach is venturing in the NFL for the first time and inherits a club that dropped its final 15 games in 2020 after a Week 1 victory.
Meyer and the Jaguars have the first overall pick in April’s draft and that seems to be a done deal. But who could the club part ways with sooner than later?
3. Brandon Linder
Revamping the entire team from top to bottom is certainly not out of the question. And that could include a pretty solid performer in versatile Brandon Linder. When available, he’s been a starter along the interior of the offensive line. But in seven seasons, he’s missed 33 out of 112 regular-season games. He started all 16 contests in 2019 but the previous year and in ’20, he was limited to nine contests. There could be an interesting decision in regards to the 2014 third-round pick from the University of Miami. And speaking of the offensive front…
