In an emotional Instagram post, Hamilton confirmed he made the donation. Hamilton also made it clear he doesn’t like sharing things on social media like this because he doesn’t want fans to think he’s doing something for attention or notoriety.
Regardless, Hamilton is making a huge difference here and you better believe the family of the boy getting the heart transplant couldn’t be happier about the Chiefs defensive back coming in and helping out.
This past season for the Chiefs, Hamilton appeared in all 16 regular season games, posting 12 tackles and one pass deflection. While he may not be known across the league as a superstar player, he’s making superstar plays off the field with his latest kind act. Hamilton is beloved in his home state of South Carolina, but you already know things have skyrocketed this week with the news of his $30,000 donation.
Once Kansas City returns to action this fall, Hamilton will be ready to make more of an impact on the defense. Leading up to camp, though, he’s already giving fans across the country reasons to cheer him on.
