Dak Prescott wants to be a Cowboy for life.
Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, signed a massive four-year extension this week and if that wasn’t an indication of where his loyalties are … he made it more clear on Wednesday.
“I’m excited to be here and to never leave,” Prescott told the media during a live press conference on Wednesday.
The Cowboys just extended Dak Prescott four years
That’s good to hear considering that the Cowboys just spent to keep him in Dallas. His contract is $160 million with $126 million guaranteed. The contract includes $66 million at signing and he’ll make $75 million in the first year. This is the most in NFL history.
Prescott is coming off a scary season-ending ankle injury and didn’t play most of the 2020 season. He’ll come back in 2021, having confirmed he’s fully healthy, to prove he’s worth every penny. Prescott says it was fellow quarterback Alex Smith’s injury and recovery which helped keep him motivated for what will likely be a highly-anticipated return in 2021.
