The Denver Broncos and general manager George Paton received some big news, with stud cornerback Ronald Darby agreeing to a new deal.
It’s almost been tough to keep track of all the free agency moves in the NFL on Monday, but we’re certain Denver Broncos fans out there are going to like the latest team update. That’s because a stud cornerback is making his way to the AFC West.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Broncos have agreed to a new deal with veteran defensive back Ronald Darby. After suiting up for the Washington Football Team this past season, Darby is now ready to sign with Denver thanks to the efforts of general manager George Paton.
Veteran cornerback Ronald Darby inking with the Broncos is huge news for Denver fans
Last season with Washington, Darby, who checks in at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds, started every game for the team and went on to record 55 total tackles and 16 pass deflections. Prior to landing with the Washington Football Team, the newest Bronco spent three years with the Eagles and two years to start off his career with the Buffalo Bills.
From the start of his NFL days, Darby has been quite the playmaker, posting 81 pass deflections, eight interceptions and 306 total tackles. Now, he’ll be ready to join his fourth team and make an immediate impact for the Broncos.
Denver is coming off a rough year in which they finished in last place of the division with their 5-11 record. Quarterback Drew Lock battled injuries throughout the year, which only make things worse for head coach Vic Fangio.
Now, the team looks ready to be serious players in free agency. They’ve most certainly started things off with quite the bang with this Darby news.
