Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson now has seven lawsuits filed against him for sexual misconduct in Harris County, Texas.
There have been a whirlwind of lawsuits filed against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. He now has had seven lawsuits filed against him over the last two days over alleged sexual misconduct in Harris County, Texas.
These alleged incidents took place between March 20 and Dec. 30 in Houston at various massage parlors. Houston attorney Tony Buzbee is representing 12 women, but as many as 22 women have come forward in all. Many of these allegations depict details that are graphic in nature. Watson’s agent David Mulugheta made comments vaguely on Friday morning via Twitter.
Deshaun Watson is facing a litany of legal issues in Houston
With the legal issues Watson is facing, football obviously takes a back seat while far more pressing matters are at hand. Even if nothing comes of these allegations, Watson will be subjected to the NFL’s personal conduct policy. It’s unclear, of course, what could arise from any sort of NFL investigation as the details continue to emerge.
From a football perspective, Watson requested a trade away from the Texans this offseason after finishing 4-12 and in third place within the AFC South. Former head coach Bill O’Brien was fired after the first four weeks of the year before Houston went 4-8 under interim head coach Romeo Crennel.
We will keep you posted as more information arises with the charges being filed against Watson.
