Nobody is happier about Kenny Golladay joining the New York Giants than Saquon Barkley.
With Kenny Golladay inking a four-year deal with the New York Giants in his free agency, it has star players like Saquon Barkley very excited about the high-profile acquisition. This move has all of the Five Boroughs buzzing as well.
Minutes after Golladay put pen to paper, Barkley reacted most positively on Twitter. Even though he only played in two games a season ago, Barkley is the most skilled offensive player on this upstart Giants team. Now with Golladay into the mix, the Giants have a strong trio of triplets offensively in Barkley at running back, Golladay at wide receiver and Daniel Jones at quarterback.
Look for Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay to thrive in Jason Garrett’s offense
What had the Giants pushing for a playoff spot a season ago was its emerging defense. Patrick Graham’s side of the ball really took flight. While the offense was hit or miss, it was mostly a positive first year for new coordinator Jason Garrett. Jones did progress in year two, even without his star tailback to lean on, or a high-end receiver the caliber of Golladay to rifle the pigskin to.
Simply put, if the Giants want to win the NFC East for the first time in years, Jones has to take a quantum leap in his third year out of Duke. Fortunately, he will be in his second year in Garrett’s system. He will also have back a top-tier running back in Barkley. Lastly, we cannot put a price on one of the game’s most underrated receivers in Golladay leaving the Motor City for the Big Apple.
You better believe that Barkley was excited about Golladay becoming his new Giants teammate.
