The 2021 NFL Draft is a month away, and teams have started jockeying for position atop the first round, as trades shuffle the draft order.
The 2021 NFL Draft is only four weeks away, and we already know that prospects, media, and fans will be allowed to attend the event. As we inch closer to the first round kicking off, we are starting to see programs work through their Pro Days, giving prospects one more chance to impress scouts.
With that said, here is our latest 2021 NFL Mock Draft.
Trevor Lawrence
QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to draft Trevor Lawrence, and this past week, he announced that he would not be attending the 2021 NFL Draft. Instead, he is going to be watching the draft at Clemson, and when Roger Goodell kicks off the festivities at the end of next month, he is certain to be the first name called.
When it comes to Lawrence, you are getting a player that is loaded with talent, and also one that has been under the microscope since his freshman year with the Tigers. He is a special kid, has all the tools to be outstanding at the next level, and could eventually lead this Jaguars franchise back from the dead.
Zach Wilson
QB, New York Jets
There is a lot of people who believe that the 2021 NFL Draft starts at pick No. 2, and they would be absolutely right. What will Joe Douglas and company do here? Do they stay with Sam Darnold? Do they move on and select Zach Wilson? Or do they trade the No. 2 pick for more draft capital?
All of that will be worked out in a few weeks, and we will finally get to see what direction this Jets franchise plans on going in. If they do select Zach Wilson, as is the case in our latest mock draft, they are getting a kid with a ton of talent, and we saw some of that during his elite Pro Day this past week.
Justin Fields
QB, San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers now hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, this after a trade with the Miami Dolphins. With this pick, the 49ers are likely to get a quarterback, as you do not trade away so many assets to move up unless you are going after one of the key signal-callers in this draft class.
After his Pro Day, Ohio State’s Justin Fields is not falling out of the first few picks, and the 49ers land the successor to Jimmy Garoppolo here. They have said they plan to start Jimmy G in 2021, but with Fields in the mix, his run in the Bay Area will likely come to close if he can hang on for next season.
