This is disturbing and also sad. No one should have to go through this. As always, we must use a disclaimer that these claims remain allegations. But that doesn’t make all this any less unsettling to read.
The Texans and the NFL are monitoring this situation as this is more complex than a potential code of conduct violation. Watson could end up facing serious legal implications from any one of these lawsuits, which are currently civil cases as of right now with an additional criminal complaint being put into the Houston Police Department last week.
Barshop also went on to share that Buzbee has even turned away potential lawsuits related to Watson. At the time of this article, there are 22 civil suits against the Texans quarterback.
The offseason began with Watson wanting out of Houston. The team decided not to trade him and now his situation is much bigger than football. The NFL may not want him on the field at all if he has so many pending lawsuits for the same type of crime.
These remain allegations, but it is also fair to say the allegations are tough to read.
