Thaddeus Moss reunites with his LSU football teammate Joe Burrow on the Cincinnati Bengals.
After a challenging rookie season with the Washington Football Team, tight end Thaddeus Moss has been claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals, reuniting him with this former LSU football teammate Joe Burrow.
Moss and Burrow were part of the magical 2019 LSU team that went 15-0 en route to the fourth national championship in school history. While Burrow went No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft to the Bengals, the son of the Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss went undrafted. Though he could have been a good fit in Joe Brady’s offense in Charlotte, Cincinnati will have to do.
Does adding Moss to the receiving corps help the Bengals become a “pop” team in 2021?
Joe Burrow and Thaddeus Moss are reunited in Cincinnati and it feels so good!
Its’ true, Moss is nothing more than a fringe NFL player at this point of his career. Given what his last name is and that he played for a national championship team are what is keeping him in the league right now. However, 2020 was a hard and frustrating year for all of us. Perhaps a change of scenery and going to another team on the rise in the Bengals could be exactly what Moss needs?
Even if the Bengals crush the 2021 NFL Draft, they still feel like they are a year away. The good news is they have more talent than most people even realize. If third-year head coach Zac Taylor presents himself as a bottleneck for this young corps’ growth potential, even frugal owner Mike Brown will have no choice but to move on from him. A potential 2022 successor could be … Brady.
Look for Burrow and Moss to see if they college rapport can translate to the professional level.
