Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is putting in the work ahead of his second season.
Dallas Cowboys fans have to like what they see in wide receiver CeeDee Lamb this offseason.
Though the Cowboys had a frustrating season a year ago, Lamb shined in his first year out of Oklahoma. Despite being in a deep receiver corps in Dallas and seeing starting quarterback Dak Prescott succumb to injury early in the season, Lamb finished his rookie year with an impressive 74 receptions for 935 yards and five touchdowns in all 16 games. Lamb is only getting started.
Here is Lamb working on improving his agility and route running abilities in the sand this spring.
Dallas Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb will be key in team winning the NFC East
The good news for Lamb is he thrived in what could have been a disastrous rookie year in Dallas. Odds are the Cowboys will not experience that level of misfortune in Mike McCarthy’s second year leading the team. Dallas also benefits from playing in arguably the weakest division in football. The 7-9 Washington Football Team won the NFC East only a season ago. Dallas was this close.
Overall, Lamb needs to continue to live up to the hype he had coming out of Oklahoma. Dallas did not need a wide receiver in the draft last year, but with Lamb slipping all the way to No. 17, owner Jerry Jones could not help himself. If the Cowboys can have a relatively healthy season and the defense plays considerably better, they can be one of the four or five best teams in the entire NFC.
Look for Lamb to take that quantum leap in his season season out of Oklahoma with the Cowboys.
