Denver Broncos general manager George Paton would not answer the Aaron Rodgers questions.
In his first draft as the general manager of the Denver Broncos, George Paton took cornerback Patrick Surtain II out of Alabama at No. 9 overall, but he would not go there when it came to addressing the Aaron Rodgers rumors in his post-draft press conference.
“We’re happy with the two quarterbacks that we have here,” said Paton. “We are really excited for both quarterbacks. We’re always looking to improve positions, and quarterback is another one. But we like who we have.
“I’m happy with the room right now. We are going to look at every position. Are there many quarterbacks just hanging out? Not many, if any. We’re happy to open the season with the guys we have now, but we are open to improving everywhere.”
Are the Broncos making a huge mistake by not trading to trade for Rodgers this offseason?
Denver Broncos general manager would not answer the Aaron Rodgers rumors
Rodgers reportedly wants out of the Green Bay Packers organization. They straight up refuse to draft an offensive player who could ever hope to help him in the first round. Green Bay reached on Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes at No. 29 last night. Surely Rodgers loved to see that. At least it was not for a project quarterback who could one day replace him in Jordan Love out of Utah State!
The Broncos are one of three teams Rodgers was reportedly interested in being traded to along with the San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders. While San Francisco drafted Trey Lance No. 3 overall out of North Dakota State on Thursday night, Rodgers would be an upgrade over Derek Carr for the rival Raiders. Denver still has one of the worst quarterback rooms in the NFL.
Paton was not going to answer the Rodgers rumors anyway, but what are the Broncos doing?
