Former Alabama football star and Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is a college graduate.
After officially graduating over the summer, former Alabama football superstar and Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was able to walk at his alma mater’s commencement ceremony.
Tagovailoa graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies in August 2020. He was able to complete the rest of his classes online in the lead-up to his rookie season with the Dolphins after his junior year at Alabama. However, he had to wait until this week to finally be able to walk across the stage as a graduate of the University of Alabama. What a big accomplishment!
Tagovailoa is taking his talents and his newfound degree back to South Beach this offseason.
Alabama football: Tua Tagovailoa graduates with his bachelor’s degree
To graduate from college in less than four years is a huge accomplishment. Yes, Tagovailoa may have enrolled early out of Hawaii and did need an additional summer after entering the 2020 NFL Draft to get it done, but keep in mind he did this usually only three years of collegiate eligibility and wrapped it all up in the midst of a global pandemic. You can never knock someone for graduating.
Now that Tagovailoa has checked off the box of being a legit college graduate, he must turn his attention to being the best quarterback he can possibly be. Miami should push for a playoff spot in his second pro season. The Dolphins used the No. 6 overall pick in last weekend’s draft on his former Alabama teammate in wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Tagovailoa needs to answer the call.
Congratulations on being able to walk at the University of Alabama, Tua!
