The Chicago Bears 2021 schedule is out as the team’s fans look forward to a brand new start in the Justin Fields era.
Few teams in the NFL have been looking for an answer at quarterback longer than the Chicago Bears. The previous great hope for the Bears, Mitchell Trubisky, was let go after last season’s 8-8 finish that ended up with the No. 7 seed and a non-competitive playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Everything started looking up for the Bears at the NFL Draft, where they boldly traded up to land Justin Fields as their potential franchise quarterback. Fields is set to join a talented young roster that has been looking for a quarterback to put it over the top, making this an intriguing season for Chicago fans to watch.
It isn’t clear when Fields will unseat Andy Dalton as the Bears’ starter but the NFC North could be wide open if Aaron Rodgers carries out his threat to never play for the Green Bay Packers again. Chicago finished a distant second behind the Packers last season but would be a contender to win the division if Green Bay is forced to start Jordan Love under center.
The Bears do have some challenging games ahead of them thanks to matchups with the AFC North and NFC West, two of the most difficult divisions in football. Finishing in second last season also did Chicago no flavors as their extra games come against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders.
