One A. Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers threw out the first pitch at the Milwaukee Brewers game on Saturday, but no, it was not the one you were thinking of.
While Aaron Rodgers is busy not being apart of the Green Bay Packers‘ offseason, rookie wide receiver Amari Rodgers is getting acclimated to all things Wisconsin by throwing out the first pitch ahead of a Milwaukee Brewers game.
Green Bay used a third-round pick on the former Clemson Tigers star wide receiver. Rodgers joins a receiving corps that already has the likes of Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Devin Funchess and Equanimeous St. Brown. He is hoping that the other A. Rodgers returns to the Packers at some point this summer. Otherwise, it is Jordan Love time in Green Bay.
Regardless, wide receiver Rodgers getting into good graces with Wisconsinites is a great thing.
Green Bay Packers: Amari Rodgers throws out first pitch at Brewers game
Even though the Packers did not draft a wide receiver in the first round this past spring, Rodgers was more than a capable playmaker in college. Yes, he did have Trevor Lawrence throwing him the ball, but there was no doubt about his ability to make an impact as a receiver at the next level. He is hoping for that Rodgers-to-Rodgers connection to manifest big time this fall at Lambeau Field.
Overall, it is always great to see players from other professional sports team in the same geographical region support the metro area’s other clubs. Rodgers knows he is playing for a winning organization and him wanting to share the love with Brewers fans makes all the sense in the world. At least one Rodgers seems to be happy being about playing in Wisconsin these days.
Seeing wide receiver Rodgers be all about Wisconsin ahead of his rookie year has to feel good.
