Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush posted a disturbing video on social media, and is catching some heat from fans as a result.
Bush was injured for the latter half of last season, and could’ve very well been on his way to a Pro Bowl campaign had he not torn his ACL. The Michigan product’s recovery has been going well, so much so that the team expects him to be ready to go for training camp.
So, what’s the issue?
It’s Bush’s off the field tendencies that have been getting attention for the wrong reasons of late. Just days after calling out people who use TikTok (we can think of a couple Steelers who fall under that category), Bush posted a disturbing video of a cat falling several stories. We will not post that video for good reason, but Steeler Nation is not happy with Bush.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Fans furious at Devin Bush for Twitter activity
There were far more, trust me.
The Steelers have had their fair share of off-field drama the last few seasons, most notably with Antonio Brown. Even JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool have had trouble acclimating to a fanbase that would rather see wins on the field than viral videos before a crushing defeat.
Smith-Schuster, for one, danced on opposing teams’ logos all year, only to fall short of his and the Steelers’ ultimate goal.
It’s fair to wonder if the culture in Pittsburgh has gone astray. As a soon-to-be third-year player, someone ought to pull Bush aside and let him know this kind of behavior isn’t tolerated in the Burgh.
