New Aaron Rodgers update won’t make Packers fans happy

According to Pro Football Talk, Aaron Rodgers hasn’t reached out to his receivers about their usual offseason workout plans and that’s concerning.

It’s been one of the worst offseason in history for Green Bay Packers fans. Each day, folks are waiting to hear the news that Aaron Rodgers has settled things with the front office and he’ll take the field come Week 1.

However, it’s truly feeling less and less likely that’s going to happen. Now, Pro Football Talk is reporting that according to their sources, Rodgers has not reached out to his receivers for their usual summer offseason work. This will only add to the concern for people outside of Lambeau Field.

Aaron Rodgers not scheduling offseason training with his receivers is not good

While there’s still plenty of time for Rodgers to get on the field with Davante Adams and the rest of the pass-catchers, the fact that it’s early July and that hasn’t been done is not good news. Coming off his MVP season, Rodgers looks poised to have another big year in 2021.

The only problem with that is that it is completely up in the air as to whether or not he’ll patch things up with Brian Gutekunst and the rest of the guys upstairs. Rodgers could end up sitting out the season, or retiring. No one knows what he’s going to do.

Should Rodgers stand firm and not play, it will be the Jordan Love show to open up the season. The second-year player would then try and live up to his first-round hype, but filling in for Rodgers and his cannon for an arm will be an incredibly difficult task. The sooner Green Bay can figure things out here, the better.
