Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf continues to show that we are not on his level when it comes to gym workouts.
The Seattle Seahawks are looking to bounce back this upcoming season after they were unceremoniously eliminated in the NFC Wild Card Round by the rival Los Angeles Rams. They brought back most of their team and made some additions, hoping that they can make a return to the playoffs in what has become a tough NFC West division. One Seahawks player who will be ready is wide receiver DK Metcalf, who is grinding in the gym.
On Saturday, a video surfaced of Metcalf’s offseason workout, which consisted of him doing a single-legged, 42-inch box jump while holding a 15-pound medicine ball. Of course, Metcalf did so with relative ease.
Seahawks: DK Metcalf shows off his ridiculous offseason workout
We can guarantee many will try this very workout … and will fail miserably. But if you feel confident enough in your abilities to attempt it, at least be safe.
Metcalf became the star of the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine for his impressive physique and incredible speed in the 40-yard dash, where he clocked in at 4.33 seconds while weighing in at 228 pounds. This offseason, the wideout attempted to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials in track and field. While Metcalf did finish in ninth place of his heat in the 100-meter dash, he did run it at a ridiculous 10.36 seconds.
The 2019 second-round selection did not undergo a sophomore slump last year — he showed out and improved his statistical output. In 16 regular-season games, Metcalf caught 83-of-129 passes for 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Seahawks took the chance on Metcalf when they saw him fall to the 64th overall selection, and they are reaping the rewards. Now, they look to repeat as NFC West champions in 2021 in hopes of making a return trip to the Super Bowl.
