Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur just trolled Atlanta Falcons’ Arthur Smith in the best way possible with a playful jab.
Who knew the playful beef between Matt LaFleur and Arthur Smith was something we needed to spice up our lives this preseason? Earlier in the week, the Falcons head coach trolled LaFleur by saying he spends too much time looking at himself in the mirror in the locker room.
Remember, these two used to work together with the Tennessee Titans and remain close friends. So, how did the Green Bay coach respond? He did so by going after Smith’s hair. Or should we say, the hair he’s losing.
“I’m honored he would think of me, first of all,” LaFleur said with a big smile on his face. “Arthur and I did share a locker room in Tennessee. Yeah, I might have been looking in the mirror, getting my clothes right while he was trying to get his hair right with that Just For Men.”
That’s just cold from LaFleur. To make things even funnier, he took off his hat and reminded folks that he’s younger than Smith. LaFleur is 41, while the man who made fun of him for taking too much time in front of the mirror is 39.
Smith simply had to know that LaFleur would fire back when he tried taking his shot at him. All in all, this is just two friends giving one another a hard time and nothing more. While LaFleur was able to get in the last laugh, you know Smith is going to want revenge the next time these two teams face.
With the Packers and Falcons not scheduled to meet in the regular season, that matchup would have to come in the postseason this year. Fans would of course love to see that happen.
