Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Najee Harris got some golden advice courtesy of longtime Seahawks rusher Marshawn Lynch.
Has there ever been a better NFL personality than Marshawn Lynch? Whether it was driving a golf cart around the sidelines in college at Cal, or his infamous Sportscenter commercial at Applebee’s for ESPN, Lynch never failed to make us laugh.
With the next generation of athletes, Lynch is serving as a mentor…of sorts.
The five-time Pro Bowler gave some free advice to Steelers rookie Najee Harris about his spending habits. On the one hand, it should help avoid some unnecessary purchases. On the other, it may lead to some outlandish results.
Okay, but what if Harris shouldn’t be buying it to begin with? Making said purchase twice won’t solve said problem.
Steelers: Najee Harris creates high expectations in Pittsburgh backfield
Could Harris be the next in a long line of elite Pittsburgh running backs? Franco Harris and Jerome Bettis are the best in a stable full of 1,000-yard rushers. Najee is arguably just as talented coming out of college, especially considering his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
The Alabama product has plenty of money to spend now, signing a four-year, $13 million rookie contract with the Steelers. One of his first purchases as a professional was an NFL Draft part for the homeless in the Bay area, where Harris is from.
Safe to say Najee has his head — and his wallet — in the right place.
