Dalvin Cook reveals status for Week 4, sends message to Vikings fans

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook gave Vikings fans a message while revealing his status for Week 4’s showdown with the Browns.

It’s been a whirlwind week for Vikings fans after a thrilling, and frankly stunning, win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.

After a slow start to the season, one that featured back-to-back embarrassing losses, the Vikings seemingly turned a corner against Seattle and did so without the help of perhaps the best player in its offense.

Dalvin Cook missed last week’s game with an ankle injury, something that has fans in Minnesota nervous about their injury-prone running back and his ability to help get this season back on track.

According to NFL Network, the chef is back and Cook will return to the offensive kitchen in Week4.

“Vikings RB Dalvin Cook missed last week with an ankle injury, but he told Tom Pelissero this week that he expects to play,” Ian Rapoport reported. “Perhaps he shares the load a bit more than usual with Alexander Mattison.”

Later on Sunday morning, Cook confirmed that he would be playing against the Browns on Sunday. He also sent a message to Vikings fans hoping to see him return to action in a pivotal matchup.

When healthy, Cook is one of the best running backs in football but he’s frequently battled injuries despite consistently playing through them for the greater good of the team. Having him back in an offense that has been efficient, if not mediocre at time, is an obvious boost.

Cook being Cook means things like what we saw out of him in his performance in Green Bay last season, or the type of stuff that has made him a fantasy legend. Minnesota was able to bounce back without him in Week 3, and having him back only means better things in a game that could re-establish the Vikings as NFC playoff contenders.
