Heading into Week 4’s showdown with the Chicago Bears, the Lions were excepted by many to beat up their rivals as a miserable Matt Nagy-led season drags on in the Windy City.
Justin Fields, however, had other plans. The Bears rookie came out dealing in ways he didn’t in his debut against the Browns, and it seemingly inspired the Chicago defense to step up its game.
Of course, it helps when the Lions have one of the worst miscommunications on a snap that we’ve seen in a while and turn the ball over with relative ease.
Goff went to the line to deliver defensive reads to the offensive line, which was somehow misinterpreted as a call for the snap. As Goff approached the line, the ball rocketed toward him before ricocheting off his thigh and right into the arms of a Bears defensive lineman.
