The Kansas City Chiefs just got another rough break as Patrick Mahomes went down with an apparent injury after a huge hit.
As the Kansas City Chiefs continue to struggle and deal with what seems to be a never ending stream of frustrating moments and bad news, their star quarterback just got sidelined following a scary collision.
Patrick Mahomes, on fouth-and-18, was trying to lead the Chiefs to a comeback as the Kansas City trailed the Tennessee Titans 27-3 in the fourth quarter. Mahomes, unable to find a receiver while dealing with the Titans’ pass rush, was working on moving around when the Titans got to him.
Mahomes had his right leg wrapped up by one defender and was falling forward when another member of the Titans jumped and ultimately collided with the quarterback’s head.
That collision was painful to watch and almost certainly incredibly painful for Mahomes to experience.

It’s an absolutely devastating collision that clearly hurt Mahomes and left him on the field slow to get up. Thankfully, Mahomes was able to give a thumbs up while on the sideline, and that’s always a good sign whenever a head or neck injury happens.
