Watch: Tom Brady got roasted by Eli on Manningcast for Super Bowl losses

Eli Manning slipped in some Super Bowl jokes at the expense of Tom Brady during the Manningcast on Monday.

NFL fans patiently waited for the Manningcast to return from its hiatus, and they were given quite the treat in Week 7. There were plenty of highlights, like Peyton wearing an Ole Miss jersey after losing a bet to Eli, and Marshawn Lynch dropping an f-bomb during his appearance.

For New York Giants fans, they definitely got a good laugh when Eli threw some subtle shade at Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

During his appearance in the second quarter of Monday’s Seattle Seahawks-New Orleans Saints contest, Brady said that he enjoyed his games against Peyton more than the ones against Eli. That is when the youngest Manning brother chimed in, saying that he did enjoy his meetings against the former New England Patriots quarterback.

Eli Manning throws Super Bowl shade towards Tom Brady

Brady said it best — whenever Eli saw the silver helmets of the Patriots, he played some next level football. Especially when they met in the Super Bowl.

The duo faced off in Super Bowl 42, where the Patriots were looking to be the first undefeated team to win the Lombardi Trophy since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Brady was certainly close to doing so, but a helmet catch by David Tyree and a touchdown pass from Manning to Plaxico Burress helped the Giants pull off the ultimate upset.

Four years later in Super Bowl 46, Brady looked for revenge against Eli, this time on the home turf of the Indianapolis Colts, Peyton’s former team. Yet, it was Eli who got the last laugh once again, as an incredible sideline pass to Mario Manningham set up the game-winning touchdown. Brady tried to heave up a Hail Mary in the closing seconds, but no Patriot could catch the ball in the end zone.

Brady may not have enjoyed those Super Bowl matchups against the Giants, but Eli sure did.
