Cleveland Browns legend Joe Thomas couldn’t help but troll himself while also taking a bit of a jab at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are all set to face off in what should be a fun AFC North showdown. For the Browns, the good news is that they’ll have Baker Mayfield ready to rock.
On top of that, Joe Thomas is confident that his former team will be able to get the job done. On Twitter, Thomas owned Pittsburgh by saying they won’t be making it to the postseason this year. He also took a little shot at himself in the process.
Joe Thomas is ready for the Cleveland Browns to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8
Thomas got into a bit of a back and forth with a heckling fan on Twitter and he really let him have it here. Thomas was a superstar for the Browns during his playing days and he clearly still has plenty of love for the organization.
That means he hasn’t forgotten about how big the rivalry is between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. On Sunday, the two teams will be ready to go to war. The Browns are 4-3 on the year, while the Steelers are 3-3.
For Pittsburgh, it’s really been a disappointing season, especially with it looking like Ben Roethlisberger will be done suiting up for the team at the end of the campaign. The Steelers are looking nothing like a playoff time right now.
Thomas made that more than clear with his latest tweet. Should the Steelers go on to beat the Browns, folks will be ready to savage Thomas for his take. We’ll see how things end up shaping out between these two sides.
