According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Super Bowl 58 in 2024 will be held at Allegiant Stadium.
Super Bowl 58 was initially expected to be held in New Orleans. But after the league expanded the season by an extra week, the initial Feb. 4 date was pushed back to Feb. 11, creating a conflict with the Mardi Gras celebrations. We now know which city has won the hosting duties for the big game in 2024.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas has been chosen to host Super Bowl 58 pending final approval from NFL owners. That means the big game will be held at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders. An announcement is expected to be made this Wednesday, per the report.
Where is the Super Bowl this year?
Since we are on the topic of future Super Bowls, let’s talk about this year’s end-of-year game for the NFL. Super Bowl 56 is scheduled to be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Cali., home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.
As for Super Bowl 57, which will be held at the Arizona Cardinals’ home field of State Farm Stadium in Glendale
New Orleans will not lose out on hosting the big game. They have chosen to take Super Bowl 59 in place of 58, since Mardi Gras in 2025 will not be until March 4.
Las Vegas will certainly hope that the Raiders will participate in the championship game at Allegiant Stadium. There has only been one team in NFL history to play in their home stadium for the Super Bowl, and that is the 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in that game.
It will be a big couple of years for Las Vegas, as they are set to host the 2022 NFL Draft. They were initially set to host the event in 2020, but it was done virtually that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
