Odell Beckham Jr’s free agency got more complicated by his torn ACL in the Super Bowl but these five teams would still be good landing spots.

One of the most fascinating free agency situations to follow this offseason involves Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. It appeared as if Beckham had fallen from the ranks of the NFL’s best pass-catchers after getting cut by the Cleveland Browns in the middle of the season but his choice to sign with the Rams revitalized OBJ’s career.

Beckham became the Rams’ No. 2 receiver and thrived, even catching a touchdown in the Super Bowl before tearing his ACL in the game. That injury came at a bad time for Beckham, who was poised to cash in big after hitting the market again this winter, but there should still be plenty of teams interested in Beckham’s services. Let’s take a look at five of the best fits for OBJ, beginning with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Where will Odell Beckham Jr. end up in NFL free agency?

5. Top free-agent landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr. – Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars need pretty much everything but adding help at wide receiver for Trevor Lawrence is a top priority. The top pass-catchers on Jacksonville’s depth chart are D.J. Chark, who is set to become a free agent himself after missing most of the 2021 season due to injury, LaQuon Treadwell, Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones.

Adding Beckham to this group would give Lawrence a bona fide No. 1 receiver to grow with over the next few years. The ACL injury is definitely a risk, but Jacksonville has plenty of cap room to make it worth Beckham’s while to come to town while still being able to address other needs.

The idea of getting a big payday in Jacksonville could be appealing to Beckham now that he has a Super Bowl ring. The Jaguars will likely have to overpay to get a star to come play with them anyway so Beckham would be a good bet to help sell some tickets while helping Lawrence reach his full potential.
