Packers have a massive spending plan to try and keep Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers are ready to go all in to try and get Aaron Rodgers to come back for the 2022 season.

Another day, another Aaron Rodgers report that will give Green Bay Packers fans some hope. While Rodgers did say earlier this week after winning MVP that he’s undecided on his future, general manager Brian Gutekunst looks set to do whatever is needed to bring him back.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Packers are ready to spend as much as possible leading up to this season to try and entice Rodgers to run things back one more time. Will this be enough to get No. 12 onboard?

Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Packers remains up in the air

This report from Schefter tells us that the Packers really are serious about getting Rodgers back behind center this fall. At the same time, this also tells us that the front office realizes that Jordan Love isn’t the answer for this team or the offense just yet.

On Thursday, Rodgers did take home MVP No. 4 for his career, which is second most behind only Peyton Manning (five). After grabbing that honor, Rodgers said he’s yet to decide his plans for 2022. He could end up retiring, returning to the Packers or suiting up for a different squad. No one knows what will go down just yet.

Rodgers isn’t the only superstar whose status is unclear, as wide receiver Davante Adams and the team didn’t come to terms on an extension prior to the 2021 campaign getting underway. Adams has been linked with a move to multiple different teams as well.

The Packers’ salary cap situation is a mess, but Gutekunst wants to try and make things work so that Rodgers can potentially win one more Super Bowl with the team. Only time will tell if he decides to pursue things with Green Bay for one last ride or not.
