Josh Allen doesn’t care what Jalen Ramsey thinks of him

Jalen Ramsey thinks Josh Allen is “trash,” but Ramsey isn’t his teammate so Allen doesn’t care.

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey recently sounded off on a handful of NFL quarterbacks. In a GQ article, Ramsey said that Joe Flacco “sucks,” that Matt Ryan is “overrated,” that Ben Roethlisberger is “decent,” and that Dak Prescott is just “OK.”

Keep in mind that these guys are all considered to be in the top tier among NFL quarterbacks.

Ramsey also had plenty of harsh words for Josh Allen, the rookie QB for the Buffalo Bills, whom they drafted with the seventh overall pick.

“I think Allen is trash,” Ramsey said. “I don’t care what nobody say. He’s trash. And it’s gonna show too. That’s a stupid draft pick to me. We play them this year, and I’m excited as hell. I hope he’s their starting quarterback. He played at Wyoming. Every time they played a big school – like, they played Iowa State, which is not a big school in my opinion because I went to Florida State, and he threw five interceptions, and they lost by a couple touchdowns or something like that.

“If you look at his games against big schools, it was always hella interceptions, hella turnovers. It’s like: Yo, if you’re this good, why couldn’t you do better?”

That’s about as harsh as it gets. Fortunately for the Bills, Ramsey’s comments aren’t really doing much for Allen. He hadn’t even heard about what Ramsey had said until he was asked about it, according to Sal Capaccio.

“He’s not on my team, he’s not my teammate,” Allen said. “It doesn’t bother me.”

That was a pretty good response for Allen to make. He didn’t say anything to further fuel the fire, and he didn’t stoop to Ramsey’s level by firing shots back at him. It appears that Allen would rather get his revenge on the field, which is usually the more admirable route to take.

As Ramsey mentioned, the Bills and the Jaguars meet in Buffalo during Week 12. If Allen is the starting quarterback for the Bills by that point, it will be interesting to see which player gets the last laugh.
