Fantasy Football 2018, Week 2 rankings: Who to Start and Sit

Week 1 of the fantasy football season provided us some fun, but now it’s time to turn our attention to week 2.

This first week of the season offered a good glimpse on how things could look for the rest of the year. We got a feel for what players we should push up our fantasy football rankings and who should drop a little.

It also showed what we could expect from each of the defenses across the league. We now know that we have to think twice before starting certain players against the aggressive Chicago Bears defense.

Nobody should keep someone on their bench if they are facing the Detroit Lions or Buffalo Bills. Fantasy football depends a lot on the matchups and we don’t have a great feel about that until after we see some live action.

This week there are several players who standout as must starts based on their matchups. Most of us are obviously starting our studs, but making the right choice in those toss up situations can mean the difference between a win and a loss.

This week there even a few players who you likely drafted early that I’d consider sitting. The waiver wire could offer you some nice secondary options. Someone like Phillip Lindsay or T.J. Yeldon are prime candidates at running back.

At the wide receiver position, Geronimo Allison and Brandon Marshall offer some intriguing upside. Nobody wants to have to sit someone they drafted early, but it sometimes it takes a little time before the situation shifts and becomes more favorable.
